Processing of In Limine Motions

Processing of In Limine Motions
A motion in limine, i.e., a motion that is to be heard at the start of a trial, does not require a fee and no return date need be assigned. The motion papers will simply be placed into the file jacket for the trial judge’s review and handling and the motion will become part of the trial record. If, however, a motion is submitted with a return date in advance of the trial date, it will be handled as any other motion, and should be accompanied by a motion fee.
